Christmas!

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Santa was good to you!

I will make a detailed list of all the goodies I received! Tomorrow we head up to Eagle Rock to see my Mom and Dad.

I swear I will post again soon! I have not been feeling well for a little while and haven't had the energy to post.

Highlights of the past few days:

Thurs 12.11 - power outage in my whole neighborhood, not restored until Sat 12.13...

Fri 12.12 - my 28th bday; 5.5 hours in a car with my bf Shelly out to the middle of Pennsylvania, sickness starting; dinner at Applebee's, movies to see twilight again (sad to say that because I was sick, I kinda feel asleep during the movie....go ahead LAUGH- it was the best cat nap EVER!)

Sat 12.13 - my best friend Becci graduates from Clarion University (out in the middle of PA) with her masters degree in Library Science; sickness getting worse

Sun 12.14 - drive back toward NJ; make a pit stop in Hazleton, PA at my parents other house; driveway so icy Adam was trying to get out of the driveway and his truck slides down it and into the house...everyone is okay...even the house...; sickness still getting worse

Mon/Tues 12.15-12.16 - work, sickness the worst it has been ( I blame Adam, he was sick, now he's not....)

Today 12.17 - took a sick day and sleep the day away......

Moving

Yea, moving - not at home but at work! We are having a re-stack in the building and they are doing it phases. This week is my floor, so I have to pack everything up by tomorrow, then when I come in on Monday I'll have a new cube!!! A smaller one, but new none-the-less :) I haven't gotten much work done because of all this packing - oh well.

Friday is my 28th Bday...wow has time gone by fast! Not doing anything exciting, Adam is going to jackson to help move some stuff up to Mom and Dad's house in PA. I am not going because my friend Shelly and I are heading out to PA to see Becci graduate with her masters degree!! The drive is 5.5 hours!! One way!! should be fun though :) Then on our way back we are stopping in Eagle Rock to see my parents and see all the new stuff my mom has bought!

I took some pictures of our Christmas tree and other decorations but I am at work, and they are on my home computer, so I will post those later...

Okay, guess I should finish packing up, plus have a meeting at 10:30a....

Thanksgiving

I think Thanksgiving went very well - we had a good time. Lots of desserts! Still eating them! I was completely exhausted though after doing all the dishes! I was surprised to find out the my Lenox China was dishwasher safe! I was always told to hand wash them, but thought I'd try them in the dishwasher. All went well - score! I so I ended up just hand washing the dinner plates, and all the rest the machine did - saved me a ton of time!

Today is turning into a not so good day. Don't worry, everything is fine but when one things goes wrong, everything kind of follows behind it.

We have a new girl "working" - I put them in quotes because she is an intern and is working for free will she finishes school - she was in our Paris office, but wanted to continue working for AXA.
She asks A LOT of questions, because she is from Europe she doesn't quite understand how things work her plus she is very curious about everything. She took it upon herself (she asked first) to re-organize our Shared Drive where we keep all electronic version of important documents. So now I can't find anything.... :( So I decided to move a folder from one area to the other so it would be easier to locate. A message pops up thats says "This folder already exists - do you want to override it with the new one?" I say no thinking that the folder that already exists is the same because they are named the same. I did not go and check to make sure that the stuff inside was the same. so what did I do?

I delete the other folder that I was going to move....no a good idea.... I go to check the already moved folder...does not have all my documents in it. F$%&....

So now I call the help(less) desk and try to recover the files. They can restore the folder back to a certian date and time so I asked that it be restored to last night at 5pm (the last time I accessed it before the F-up) so now I wait. If they can't find them, I think I'm screwed. I'll have to recreate all the files (which are excel spreadsheets with multiple tabs that feed each other...) Sucks...big time.

Plus Every 5 mins I get a phone call from said intern asking questions....sometimes I just want to be left alone when working on thing and not get interrupted.... oy I think I'm just bitching to bitch so I am moving on.... ::deep breath in, deep breath out::

I just ate lunch so I feel better - mac & cheese the best comfort food ever...

Edit: Saw Twilight on Saturday and really really enjoyed it. Started off slow (like the book) but got better as it went on. LOVED the fight scene in the ballet studio. Not sure if I like the guy that is playing Jacob, but he could grow on me :) I finally pushed along into Book 4 and am starting to like it more and can't wait to see what happens! Why do we always get sucked into Young Adult series?!? Who cares - keep'em coming!!!
